ZnMn₂O₄

This sample of hetaerolite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Hetaerolite is a oxide mineral of zinc and manganese with the composition ZnMn₂O₄. The sample at left is about 15 cm across and is from Sterling Hill Mine, Ogdensburg, New Jersey.
