Ag₉Cu₂₄Pb₂₆Cl₆₂(OH)₄₈

This sample of boleite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Boleite is a chloride that contains copper, silver and lead. It has the composition Ag₉Cu₂₄Pb₂₆Cl₆₂(OH)₄₈. The sample at left is about 10 cm across and is from Santa Rosalia mine, Boleo, Baja California, Mexico.
