White Dwarfs in Globular Cluster M4

The age of the M4 globular cluster is great enough that many of its more massive stars have made the transition to their final white dwarf stage.

A closer view from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope shows several white dwarfs circled.

One of the white dwarfs in M4 has been identified as the companion of a pulsar.
